The Minergie-P-Eco-standard high-rise building was developed to meet the requirements of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland's Academy of Art and Design, with a main usable area of 6'500m2 spread over 9 floors. The 'design to cost' method was applied to this project.
The building was planned to be structurally versatile with increased longevity - it can be adapted to changing demands with minimal construction costs. It will be used for at least 30 years by the Academy of Art and Design.
